Going on a Coal Hunt || Minecraft

Here’s the scenario: I have a smelter setup in my house that auto-refills fuel as it uses it up. Unfortunately, I’m running kinda low on coal, and this is causing my dual-hoppers into two furnaces not to do what I want.

My goal, then, is to go an an expedition just to find as much coal as I can. As a bonus, this will also help me gain experience, both for levels and to reinvigorate some tools that desperately need it.
