Castlevania: Circle of the Moon Review: Merely Excellent

After restarting this game countless times over the past 25 years, I’ve finally beaten it. And I loved it.

After restarting this game countless times over the past 25 years, I’ve finally beaten it. And I loved it.

If I could pick one game to exemplify the idea of “deeply flawed but still fun”, it would be this one.

“If you loved Generations, you’ll also love half of Unleashed.” That’s what they told me. I disagree.

I went into Monument Valley not really knowing what to expect. I knew it was a puzzle game, but that was about it. But what I got was an absolute delight of a game.

I wanted to love this game. Oh how I wanted to love this game. The art is gorgeous, the music is excellent, the characters and world are charming… But that’s about where it ends.

(Not to be confused with The 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo)

I tweeted alongside yesterday’s presentation.
